Basil Marceaux, Republican gubernatorial candidate for the state of Tennessee
If you ask the average person if they trust the average politician, you’ll likely get a snicker and/or a sarcastic comment. So when I saw Basil Marceaux, a gubernatorial candidate for the state of Tennessee, I didn’t see that same average politician who I couldn’t trust. I saw someone who looked incredibly honest if not a bit mentally retarded. Oh, I think since 2006 we’re not supposed to be using that term. I think now we’d have to say he’s an intellectually disabled candidate for governor. But I’m not much for euphemisms. I like to call a spade a shovel. I also do love the term dimwitted yokel, but I can only put so many words in this post, no matter how much I enjoy them.
But I’m going to ignore that part about Marceaux looking retarded intellectually disabled because we need something new in our political system. We need a breath of fresh air, even if that air is heavy with the smell of alcohol and tobacco.
Now I’m not one to usually vote Republican or in Tennessee elections for that matter, (I think there’s some rule about living there) but I can offer my earnest, heartfelt endorsement of candidate Marceaux to voters who actually live in Tennessee.
I don’t want to belabor my point too much. I know you’re busy. And I’ve also been told that people who read things on the Internet have very short attention spans. (Most readers likely didn’t make it to the end of that run-on sentence) So if you are still reading, my point is that this is what it has come down to folks. We either choose to support the status quo of both major American political parties (and look at what that has gotten us) or we embrace a fundamentally new, if not radical type of politician who may not have all of his or her screws tightened, but is transparent and honest.
With Basil Marceaux what you see is what you get. That’s a heck of a lot more than I can say for average politicians.
Here are some videos of Basil Marceaux in action. It’s worth your time to watch these. I assure you.
